Extreme Quest

Overview

  • Quest Requirements:
    • You must pay an Extreme Pass in order to play a set of five stages in any given Extreme Quest.
      • You can receive an Extreme Pass from NPC Pudding in the Gate Area every 22 hours, starting from when you receive it.
      • You can also receive Extreme Passes as campaign rewards, bingo rewards, or by exchanging Excubes or Catalysts at the Exchange Shops.
    • The party leader can choose to pay for all members or for each member to pay on their own.
    • Any passes you paid to start the quest will not be refunded when the mission ends prematurely.
    • This applies to the quest failure or any disconnection issues (Error 630).

  • Stage Advancement:
    • When the quest starts, you must complete a set of five stages before the quest can be marked as complete.
    • Successfuly completing a set of five stages will increase your advancement by five.
    • Starting the quest again allows your to start at your highest advancement, or any stage below by a multiple of five.
      • For example: If your most recently completed stage was stage 15, then you can start at stages 16, 11, 6 or 1.
    • Stages 1 through 50 have level 60 enemies, while stages 51 and up have level 70 enemies.
    • If you extend your stage advancement to the final stage, you will receive additional rewards and your advancement is set back to 1.
    • Stage choice is dependant on the party leader, so if a stage higher then your advancement is chosen, you will not be rewarded at the final stage until you complete the stages starting from where you left off.

  • Stage Orders:
    • During each stage, Karin will give a unique objective to complete over the course of the stage.
    • Stage orders can be anything ranging from 'Don't take damage,' 'break enemy parts,' and various others that always depend on the stage.
    • Completing a stage order will transform the next stage's set equipment and elemental resistances to weaknesses and make the next stage easier.
    • Completing stage orders will also determine how many items you can bring back from virtual space;
      • Items dropped by the extreme quest itself will be in different looking boxes, these items do not go straight to your inventory.
      • Meseta, client order items, and matter board collectibles will still go straight to your inventory, however.
      • Once you complete the last stage in the stage set, you can access the terminal and select which items you wish to bring back with you.

  • Other Information:
    • The time limit for clearing a set of five stages is 60 minutes, but the timer only passes when a stage is in progress.
    • Clearing a stage order will increase the amount of drops in the next stage. However, breaking boss or enemy parts will not.
    • The stage order 'Do not heal' only includes control induced healing; Breath of Life, Vampiric Blade, Celestial Bullet, Mag Triggers, automated skills and NPC healing will not fail the order. However, using Moon Atomizers and Half Dolls will.
    • Your radar will be disabled over the course of the quest, displaying 'NO DATA'
    • When starting the quest, there is a chance one of the stages will be replaced with a set '?' stage that will be revealed upon arrival. These 'rare' stages are always the same in the same place.
    • Meseta dropped by enemies is much, much higher than normal.
