This enemy has three different attack patterns, and one is chosen randomly at the start of the battle.
Patterns can be determined by how many "eyes" are on the core.
Fire
Four Eyes:
Attacks may cause Burn status effect.

If it stays in its neutral position while casting, then it's going to rain targeted fire balls on players. If it is leaning forward while casting, then it's going to raise fire pillars beneath the players he has the most hate for. The pillars normally juggle you, but if you're in a state of super armor, then the pillar will hit you multiple times and kill you.
Ice
Six Eyes:
Attacks may cause Freeze status effect.

If it stays in its neutral position while casting, then it's going to fire two lasers which sweep around the arena. There is a blind spot underneath Apos for this attack. If it is leaning forward while casting, then it's going to freeze the immediate area around it. The area affected is shown with a magic circle.
Lightning
Two Eyes:
Attacks may cause Shock status effect.

If it stays in its "neutral" position while casting, then it's going to cast lightning bolts that spiral out. You can dodge this by being directly under him or by walking to the sides. If it is leaning forward while casting, then it's going to fire two waves of crossing lightning bolts. There are gaps between them, but some bolts may cross into them after a certain distance. Attacks are capable of inflicting the Shock status effect.

Vulnerable to Panic status effect, which causes temporary daze.

The bird heads on his shoulders will constantly look around and shoot at players that have this boss's hate. Every variant will fly into the air and rain down bullets on players, but how they rain down depends on the variant. Apos has a double claw-swipe attack that does elemental damage based on its current element. Apos will occasionally spin around the field hitting players with its tail. Apos is capable of using Weak Bullet on players. If you see a magic circle appear on you as he stops to point at players, then you should get ready to dodge or block the bullet heading towards you.

At half health, Apos will drop whatever it's doing, teleport to the center of the arena, raise a shield, and summon four pillars in the corners of the arena. Once the pillars are up, the party has a limited amount of time to destroy them before he unleashes an extremely powerful attack that does multiple thousands of damage. While destroying the pillars, Apos will constantly fire bullets that do damage based on his attack's element. Each pillar counts as a part of Apos, so only one can be under the effects of Weak Bullet at a time. If successful in destroying the pillars, Apos will drop to the floor stunned. At this point the core ball becomes a targetable weak point for all classes, so everybody should climb on top of him and do as much damage as they possibly can before he gets back up.

For the sake of Wise/Brave stance, pillars on the east count towards Brave and pillars on the west count towards Wise.
